You might be wondering if coaching is the right thing for you.
Coaching is a tool to help you uncover blocks and make plans to support meeting your goals. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) says that "Professional coaching focuses on setting goals, creating outcomes and managing personal change." Coaching is focused on your future and where you want to go in your life.
When people ask me if coaching is right for them, I simplify it by asking them two questions: 1) Do you want to make a positive change in your life? and 2) Are you ready to put in the work to make that change happen? If you answer yes to both of these, you are likely a great fit for coaching. Here are some reasons that coaching might be a great option for you to reach your goals:
You feel lost. ...
You're letting fear hold you back. ...
You think you're not good enough. ...
You have self-destructive habits. ...
You want to be more decisive. ...
You can't seem to focus. ...
You need better time management. ...
You feel like daily activities are meaningless or are a heavy burdern. ...
You don't feel seen or understood by anyone. ...
You don't feel like you measure up. ...
You don't feel like your work or life matters. ...
You don't feel like your work contributes to the world. ...
You're facing a major transition. ...
If the statements above resonate with you, you might be ready for a professional coach!
The statements below represent the mindset you'll need to get the most out of coaching. Consider carefully if you are ready to make the commitment needed to address what's holding you back and to do the work to make steps towards your goals.

I'm open to experimenting with new ideas and explore new options
I'm willing to gain a deeper understanding of my own behaviors and relationships
I know that I am responsible for making the necessary changes to shape my future
I am ready to focus on this work and make it a priority, dedicating at least three months to the process
I know that the coaching work extends beyond the times I meet with my coach
I do not expect my coach to fix problems, instead, I recognize that the work is mine to do
I am willing to be confronted and challenged in my way of thinking by my coach
I commit to being open an honest with my coach
